Open concept kitchen floor plan
Optimized for family & entertaining
Connection with outside space
Does your home suffer from a cramped kitchen and a boxy layout? Those were some of the problems our clients in North Greece faced. They came to us to resolve them with an open concept kitchen addition. As a large family that loves to cook and socialize, they wanted to increase the kitchen’s square footage. Moreover, they wanted a more open concept floor plan, rather than the small doorways leading to the living and dining rooms. With this in mind, we got to work.
Firstly, we added a 6-foot addition to the rear of the home. Then, we then increased the feeling of airiness and space with large French doors leading to a new deck. Similarly, we opened a wall to the living and dining rooms for a more open floor plan. Next, we installed a true cooks kitchen including a 48-inch Wolf range with double oven, commercial hood, large farmhouse sink, and a prep sink in the island. Moreover, the extra-large island – topped in granite to match the countertops throughout – offers enough space for the whole family. Lastly, finishing touches included new hardwood floors throughout and a range of cool custom features. For example, upper- and under-cabinet lighting, microwave drawer in island, drop-down Kitchen Aid mixer cabinet, and a countertop storage cabinet for the coffee maker.
