Who We Are
Building in the Rochester area since 1977, John’s focus on nurturing strong relationships throughout the area has contributed to the company’s longevity. After earning a BS in Business Management from Saint John Fisher College, John and his business partner, John Mallo, started MDM Construction as a full-service construction and general contractor partnership. John remains highly involved in day-to-day project operations and business development. When he is not working, you can find him spending time with his family or on the golf course.
With over 6 years of project management and operations experience, Dan’s diligent scrutiny from concept to completion ensures customer satisfaction. As a business graduate from the University at Buffalo, as well as completing a post-graduate construction management program at Colorado State University, he specializes in managing the day-to-day operations of projects with a focus on schedule, budget, and sub-contractor relationships. Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and exploring the outdoors.
Part of the business for 17 years and around construction his whole life, John began as a laborer and has since honed his skills in every facet of the building process. Learning firsthand from his father how to treat customers, his end goal is complete customer satisfaction. John’s attention to detail is second-to-none and he takes pride in the entire project, from the design stage to the finishing touches. In his spare time John enjoys riding his dirt bike, golfing, skiing and of course spending time with his wife and two children.

We undertake a wide-range of projects including, but not limited to, new builds, additions, renovations, restorations, and general contracting. In other words, everything from full home builds to new kitchens and baths or a sunroom addition and new outdoor spaces.
